What this fundraiser is
Helping Harry is a personal fundraiser, not a charity. Money is being raised for Tarnya, Harry's mum, to arrange and pay for support for Harry while he is detained and faces a serious legal situation in Cambodia.
How donations can be used
- Legal advice, representation and directly related case costs.
- Essential living resources, food, hygiene items, communication and welfare needs while Harry is detained.
- Reasonable documentation, administration and support costs directly connected with arranging Harry's legal or welfare support.
Funds will not knowingly be used for unlawful payments or an unrelated personal or business purpose.
Fees, records and changed circumstances
Payment providers may deduct their normal charges. Reasonable costs directly required to arrange Harry's legal or welfare support may also be paid from the fund. Fundraising records should be kept so donations and material expenditure can be reconciled.
If a cost cannot be paid, Harry's needs change or money remains, funds may be used for Harry's continuing legal, essential living or welfare support arising from the same Cambodian case and detention. If it becomes impossible to use remaining funds for Harry within that purpose, the organisers should publish an update before applying funds elsewhere and obtain donor permission where required.
Transparency
Public totals may combine direct donations with amounts reported by external platforms. Gross totals may differ from the net balance after provider fees, refunds, chargebacks and properly incurred support costs. Public supporter names and messages are shown only when the donor opts in.
